The basics

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, phone or other device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can perform a related function.

They may be used to provide essential website features, remember preferences, protect forms and understand how people use a website.

The platform

Who provides this website?

This website is operated by Ashley Dawson trading as AD Visuals and is hosted using Squarespace.

Squarespace may place necessary cookies on your device. Optional Performance and Analytics cookies are placed only after you accept them through the website’s cookie controls.

Always active

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies support website security, remember your cookie choices and provide core functionality.

They do not require consent because the website cannot provide the relevant function without them.

• Crumb Session Helps prevent cross-site request forgery and protects website forms.
• ss_performancecookiesAllowed 30 days Records whether you accepted or declined Squarespace Performance and Analytics cookies.
• ss_marketingcookiesAllowed 30 days Records your marketing-cookie choice within Squarespace’s standard consent system. AD Visuals does not currently use advertising trackers.
• RecentRedirect 30 minutes Helps prevent redirect loops where Squarespace URL mappings are used.
• Test Session Checks whether your browser supports cookies and helps prevent website errors.

Squarespace may use other necessary cookies if a particular website feature requires them. This policy will be updated if a new feature materially changes the cookies used by the website.

Optional cookies

Performance and Analytics cookies

These cookies are optional. They are used only after you accept Performance and Analytics cookies.

They help Squarespace Analytics distinguish visitors, connect page views into sessions and provide general information about website traffic and engagement.

• ss_cid Two years Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on the website.
• ss_cpvisit Two years Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on the website.
• ss_cvisit 30 minutes Identifies a visitor’s current website session.
• ss_cvr Two years Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on the website.
• ss_cvt 30 minutes Identifies a visitor’s current website session.

If you decline these cookies, the website will continue to work. Some analytics reports may be less complete because separate page views cannot always be connected into one visit.

Tracking and marketing

Advertising cookies

AD Visuals does not currently use advertising, remarketing or behavioural-targeting cookies.

Squarespace may display a Marketing or Advertising category in its standard cookie-preference panel. The presence of that category does not mean an advertising platform is active on this website.

This policy and the website’s consent controls will be reviewed before any advertising or remarketing service is introduced.

Your control

Managing your cookie choices

When you first visit the website, the cookie banner allows you to:

• Accept optional cookies
• Decline optional cookies
• Manage individual cookie categories

You can change your decision at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences in the website footer.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent forms, preferences or other website features from working correctly.

Changing your choice does not affect information processed before the choice was changed. It prevents the relevant optional cookies from being used afterwards.

External platforms

Third-party services

Squarespace provides the website hosting, forms, cookie controls and website analytics. It may process technical information outside the United Kingdom in accordance with its privacy and data-transfer arrangements.

This website contains links to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other external websites.

Displaying an ordinary link does not, by itself, allow the linked service to place cookies through this website. The external service may use its own cookies after you follow the link and visit its platform.

If third-party video, social-media or other embedded content is added in future, the cookie controls and this policy will be reviewed before publication.

Keeping this policy current

Changes and contact

This Cookie Policy may be updated if the website’s features, integrations, cookies or legal requirements change.

The latest version will always be published on this page and identified by the revision date shown above.
